Using Favorites in Demographics
Filtering by Favorites
- Click the Favorites button (heart icon) in the Demographics panel header
- Only favorited variables are displayed
- The counter shows your total favorites count (e.g., "Favorites (8)")
- Click again to show all variables
The Favorites filter state is saved as a workspace preference and is remembered across page refreshes and sessions. If the filter is active when a report is generated, the report's Demographics section will display only your favorited variables.
Sorting by Favorites
- In List view, click the heart column header to sort favorites to the top
- Favorited variables appear first, followed by non-favorites
Using Favorites in Variable Importance
In the Legend Table
- The Favorite column (heart icon) shows favorite status for each variable
- Sort by favorites: Click the heart column header to group favorites at the top
- In Category/Impact view: Categories with more favorites rise in the sort order, and favorite variables are listed first within each category
On the Sunburst Chart
- Use the Indicator Mode setting to highlight favorite variables
- Choose "Favorite" to show indicator lines for your favorited variables
- Alternatively, choose "Top 5" to highlight the five most impactful variables

Troubleshooting
Heart Icon Not Responding
- Wait for the current toggle to complete (one at a time)
- Check your internet connection (favorites sync to the server)
- Refresh the page if the state seems stuck
Favorites Not Showing in Variable Importance
- Ensure the Favorite column is enabled in Display Options (gear icon)
- Demographics must be loaded first (favorites come from demographics data)
- Check that you have favorited variables in the Demographics section
Favorites Count Seems Wrong
- The count reflects variables favorited across all demographics
- Some variables may appear in multiple categories
- Refresh demographics data if the count seems stale
