Guided Product Tour
Quick Answer
The guided product tour is a 21-step interactive walkthrough that introduces the core Zeus.ai concepts. It takes about 3 minutes, highlights key UI elements with a spotlight overlay, and pauses any time you want to explore on your own. Start it from the Help & Support section in the left sidebar, or click Start Tour on the welcome banner that appears on the Projects page the first time you sign in. (Clicking Dismiss on that banner hides it instead of starting the tour.)
The Site Sonar step is skipped automatically on non-Enterprise accounts. The step counter stays anchored to the fixed 21-step list either way — on a skipped account the counter jumps from "Step 9 of 21" straight to "Step 11 of 21" rather than showing a renumbered 20-step sequence.
Availability
The tour is controlled by a feature flag. If you do not see the Product Tour entry in Help & Support or the welcome banner on the Projects page, the tour has not been enabled for your account. Contact your account team or the SiteZeus support chat to check availability.
Starting the Tour
There are two ways to begin:
Welcome Banner (Projects Page)
When you land on the Projects page for the first time with the tour enabled, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen:
text
┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ New to Zeus.ai? │
│ Take a 3-minute guided tour to learn the core concepts. │
│ │
│ [ Start Tour ] [ Dismiss ] [X] │
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘- Start Tour — begins the tour immediately from step 1
- Dismiss / X — hides the banner permanently (you can still start the tour from the sidebar)
The banner only appears once. After you dismiss or start it, it will not return.
Help & Support in the Sidebar
Open the left sidebar and look in the Help & Support section:
- Product Tour — appears when you have not yet completed the tour; click to start or resume
- Restart Tour — appears after you complete the tour; click to restart from the beginning
How the Tour Works
Spotlight
A dark overlay dims the rest of the screen while a transparent "spotlight" highlights the element being explained. You can click through the spotlight to interact with the highlighted element.
Clicking the dimmed area outside the spotlight pauses the tour so you can explore the app freely.
Tooltip Card
A tooltip card appears near the highlighted element with:
- A step counter (for example, "Step 3 of 21")
- A title and description
- Next or custom action buttons to advance
- A pause button (X in the top-right corner) to stop the tour temporarily
Progress Bar
A thin progress bar runs across the top of the screen while the tour is active so you can see how far along you are.
Pausing and Resuming
- Click the X button in the tooltip to pause (works on every step)
- Click the dimmed backdrop to pause — only works on steps that spotlight a specific element; the center-placement steps (Welcome, the Map Workspace intro, the Views intro, and the final step) require the X button or Escape instead
- Press Escape to pause (works on every step)
Resume by clicking Product Tour in Help & Support in the sidebar. The tour picks up at the step where you left off.
The 21 Tour Steps
The tour was reordered and expanded: Chat now comes earlier, and there are new chapters for Shapes, Revenue Grades, Views, the Forecasting Model tab, Reports, and the Prompt Library. The standalone Heatmap step was removed.

| 21 | You're all set | Center overlay with an Ask Zeus anything... input; type a question to open chat, or Start exploring |
Note: Step 10 (Site Sonar) is automatically skipped if your account does not have an Enterprise subscription. The tour continues without interruption — the step counter still counts up to 21, it just skips from 9 to 11.
The final step includes an Ask Zeus anything... box. Type a question and press enter to open the Chat tab with your question already sent, or click Start exploring to finish the tour.
Progress Persistence
Tour progress is saved to your browser's local storage, keyed to your account email. If you close the browser mid-tour, the tour resumes at the same step when you return and click Product Tour in the sidebar.
Clearing your browser's local storage resets your progress.
Restarting the Tour
After you complete the tour, the Help & Support entry changes to Restart Tour. Clicking it resets all progress and begins the tour from step 1 (the Welcome screen).
Tips
- You do not need to complete all steps in one session. Pause anytime and resume later.
- During tab steps (Chat, Sites, Site Sonar, Shapes, Revenue Grades, Forecasting Model, Reports, Prompts), the tour automatically opens the relevant tab for you.
- During the map steps, the tour switches to the map workspace. If you started the tour from the Projects page, open a project first so the tour can resolve which project's map to anchor to.
- The spotlight smoothly animates between steps; give it a moment to settle on complex layouts.
