Workspace Themes and Appearance
Quick Answer
Zeus.ai offers four workspace themes: Dark (opaque), Light (opaque), Dark Glass, and Light Glass. Switch themes from the profile menu → Appearance → Theme. Glass themes use frosted transparency that adapts to your map theme.
Where to Find Theme Settings
- Open the profile menu (avatar in the top right, or the sidebar footer)
- Hover "Appearance" to open the submenu
- Under "Theme", click one of the four options — Dark, Light, Dark Glass, or Light Glass
- The workspace updates immediately
Available Themes
Dark (Opaque)
- Style: Solid dark backgrounds using Zeus brand colors

Adaptive Brightness (Glass Themes)
The Dark Glass and Light Glass themes automatically adjust their transparency based on the current map theme:
- Dark map themes (Dark Roadmap): Glass panels increase opacity for better contrast
- Light map themes (Classic, satellite): Glass panels adjust to maintain readability
- Satellite imagery: Panels adapt to the average brightness of the underlying map
This ensures text and controls remain readable regardless of what map content is behind them.
Workspace Layout
The Layout section of the Appearance submenu lets you choose between two layouts:
| Layout | Description |
|---|---|
| Modern | Floating workspace panel overlaying the map for efficiency |
| Navigator | Spacious layout with optional secondary workspace for side-by-side |
When Navigator is selected, a nested Secondary workspace toggle appears directly beneath it for docking an independent panel to the right edge.

Troubleshooting
Glass Effect Not Showing
- Ensure you selected Dark Glass or Light Glass, not Dark or Light
- Some browsers may not support backdrop blur - try updating your browser
- Glass effects are more visible when the map has varied content behind panels
Theme Not Persisting
- Check if "Apply to All Projects" is toggled and verify which mode you're in
- Try refreshing the page after changing the theme
- Clear browser cache if the theme reverts unexpectedly
Text Hard to Read
- Switch to an opaque theme (Dark or Light) for maximum readability
- Glass themes automatically adapt, but opaque is always more readable
- Adjust the map theme to create better contrast with glass panels
