Controlling Feature Visibility
Quick Answer
Visibility controls are split across three tabs, each opened by its own chat-bar button: the Sites tab for site-type visibility and clustering, the Layers tab for Site Sonar and Shapes overlays, and the Base Map tab for POI and map-feature visibility on supported themes.
Where Visibility Controls Live
Sites Tab
The Sites tab (store icon in the chat bar) is where you control:
- Sites master visibility, collapse/expand, and site-type visibility
- Smart Clustering
Layers Tab
The Layers tab is where you control:
- overlay visibility for
Site SonarandShapes - your active/saved Sites views
Base Map Tab
The Base Map tab is where you control:
- map theme
- POI visibility on supported raster themes
- map feature visibility like roads, labels, water, and boundaries
- traffic / transit / bicycle data layers
Site Visibility
In the Sites tab, Zeus.ai currently supports:
- a master visibility toggle for sites
- a collapse / expand control for the section
- site-type and category-level controls through the nested site controls
- additional visual options through per-category option panels
Map Feature Visibility
On supported raster themes, the Base Map tab's controls can show options for:
- All POIs
- Businesses
- Parks
- Healthcare
- Government
- Attractions
- Schools
- Worship
- Roads
- Highways
- Local Roads
- Water
- Road Labels
- Place Labels
- Map Icons
- Transit Labels
- Boundaries
- Terrain Features
Important:
- These controls are reduced or unavailable on vector themes
- If you cannot find POI or feature toggles, check the active map theme first
Common Use Cases
Reduce Clutter
- hide POIs you do not need
- reduce labels
- turn off unnecessary overlays
Focus On One Site Group
- show only the site types relevant to the current analysis
- combine site visibility with filters for tighter control
Prepare Screenshots
- hide unnecessary map elements
- keep only the relevant sites or overlays visible
- use a cleaner basemap when explaining one feature
Troubleshooting
Can’t Find A Visibility Toggle
- check the Sites tab for site-type visibility
- check the Base Map tab for map-feature visibility
- switch themes if the current theme hides raster-only feature controls
Feature Won’t Hide
- toggle it off and on again
- verify you are changing the correct layer or category
- refresh the page if state looks stale
Everything Looks Too Busy
- reduce visible site types
- turn off optional map features
- use filters before adding overlays
