Using the Listings Tab

Quick Answer

The Listings tab shows real-estate listings (sale and lease) inside the area you're viewing on the map. Listings are sourced from REsimplifi. Pan or zoom the map and the list updates with the listings inside the new viewport. Click a card to fly the map to it, Analyze to score the location, or View to open the original listing.

Limited Trial: The Listings tab and its row in the Tabs Menu both display a Limited Trial badge. This badge indicates that Listings access is provided on a trial basis as part of the Listings bundle. Contact your SiteZeus account team to discuss continued access.

When to Use Listings

Use the Listings tab when you want to:

  • See what's actually for sale or for lease near a candidate area
  • Filter the broader market down to retail, land, office, healthcare, or another property class
  • Save a filtered search so your team can reload the same view later
  • Pre-screen real-world properties before running deeper analytics on a specific address

Listings is best paired with the Locate workspace — open Listings to find candidates, then click Analyze on a card to push that property into the rest of the SiteZeus workflow.

Opening the Tab

  1. Open a workspace panel
  2. Click the + button in the tab strip
  3. Add Listings

You can also toggle the Listings layer from the Layers tab to keep the map markers visible without the Listings tab being open.

Reading a Listing Card

Each card in the results grid shows:

  • A primary photo (or a Street View image if no photo is available)
  • Status pill (top-left): Active, Pending, Reduced, Leased, Sold, or Off Market
  • Type pill: the property's transaction type (sale / lease / both)
  • Price (bottom-left): either an asking price (e.g. $1.25M) or a lease rate (e.g. $24/SF/yr). When neither is published, the card shows "Price on request".
  • Action chips (bottom-right): Analyze sends the property's coordinates into the SiteZeus analysis flow; View opens the original REsimplifi listing in a new tab.
  • Details: listing name, full address, building square footage or acres, year built, building class, price per SF, cap rate, zoning, construction status, and one or more property-type pills.
  • Brokerage / agent attribution at the bottom of the card. Listings are tagged "Powered by Resimplifi" in the tab header (literal product attribution; the brand wordmark is REsimplifi).

Filtering

Open the Filters sub-tab (narrow viewports) or use the filters pane on the left (wide viewports). The filter sections are:

SectionWhat it controls
StatusActive, Pending, Reduced, Leased, Sold, Off Market
Property TypesRetail, Land, Office, Industrial, Healthcare, Hospitality, Investment, Other
Transaction ModeBuying, Leasing, or Both
Square FootageDual-range slider; type values in K/M shorthand or drag the handles
Purchase PriceDual-range slider; keep or hide listings without a published price
Lease RateDual-range slider (shown when the transaction filter includes leases)

Filters auto-apply about 400ms after you stop typing or dragging — there is no Apply button. When at least one filter is active the section card shows the active count or a range summary at the top.

To clear a checkbox/pill section (Status, Property Types), click the Select all text link that appears next to its active count — despite the label, it clears the section back to no filter. To reset a numeric slider (Square Footage, Purchase Price, Lease Rate) to its full range, click the reset icon above the slider. To reset everything at once, click Reset to defaults in the filter footer.

Sorting and Map Labels

In the results header (wide viewports) or above the card grid (narrow viewports):

  • The Sort dropdown lets you order by price (high/low), lease rate, square footage, year built, or recency (recently listed / oldest listings).
  • The price-label toggle (label / label-off icon) turns the on-map price and lease-rate pills on or off. Listing markers themselves stay visible either way.

The header also shows how many listings are in the current viewport versus the total returned by the server (for example, 42 / 118 listings in view).

Map Behavior

  • Listing markers appear on the map for every result in the current viewport.
  • Pan or zoom the map and the list re-queries to match the new view.
  • On desktop, hovering a card highlights the matching marker (and the reverse). On mobile, tapping a pin scrolls its card into view in the results grid and flips the sub-tab from Filters to Results so the card is on screen.
  • Clicking a card flies the map to that listing.
  • The "Listings" layer can be toggled independently from the Layers tab — useful when you want the markers visible while you work in a different tab.

Saved Searches

You can save the current set of filters, sort order, and map-label state as a saved search to return to later or share with your team.

  • Save a new search: when no view is loaded, the tab header shows a Save search button. It's enabled once you've adjusted at least one filter; click it and give the search a name.
  • Load a saved search: open the Saved Searches section in the filters pane and click a row. Once loaded, the row highlights and the header's Save button is replaced by inline controls.
  • Save changes to the loaded search, or Save as new to fork it into a new search, from the loaded row.
  • Rename, share (private vs. company-wide visibility), or delete a saved search from the row's overflow menu. Only the owner can delete or change sharing for a search.

Saved searches also surface under the Saved searches section of the Layers tab's Listings card, so a search saved here is reloadable from the Layers panel too.

Saved listing searches can also be selected as the Listings source when configuring the Map block in a report view. This lets a report bake listings resolved against the subject's surroundings from a specific saved search, independent of what the live map is showing at run time. See Map block datasets for details.

Common Pitfalls

  • "No listings in this area." Listings are bounded to your current map viewport. Pan or zoom out — or relax filters — and try again.
  • "Listings are temporarily unavailable." This is an outage of the REsimplifi service, not a subscription issue. The card invites you to contact your SiteZeus account team if the problem persists.
  • A filter looks active but the results haven't changed. Filters debounce by about 400ms; give it a moment. If a slider value matches the full bound (for example, square footage 0–100K SF), the filter is treated as unbounded and won't narrow results.
  • Saved-search Save button is greyed out. You need at least one active filter to save — capturing pure defaults isn't useful.
