Quick Answer
The SiteZeus MCP connection uses your existing SiteZeus sign-in, follows your existing permissions, and is read-only at launch. Your AI tool never sees your password, and you can disconnect at any time.
How Sign-In Works
When you connect an AI tool to SiteZeus:
- Your browser opens the standard SiteZeus sign-in page.
- You sign in exactly as you do for the app (including any single sign-on your company uses).
- You approve the connection, and your AI tool receives a secure, expiring token.
Your password stays with SiteZeus and is never shared with the AI tool.
What the Connection Can Access
- Only what you can see. The connection is scoped to your account. If you don't have access to a project, brand, or dataset in the SiteZeus app, your AI assistant doesn't either.
- Read-only at launch. Your assistant can look up sites, analytics, and market data, but cannot create, change, or delete anything in SiteZeus.
What the Connection Cannot Do
- Change or delete any data in SiteZeus
- See data belonging to other users or companies
- Act without you: requests happen when you ask your assistant a question
Disconnecting / Revoking Access
You can remove the connection whenever you like:
- In your AI tool: remove the SiteZeus server or connector (for example,
claude mcp remove sitezeusin Claude Code, or delete the connector in Claude's settings). This is the fastest way to cut off access. - Account changes: a password change or your company's administrator disabling your account stops the connection from renewing its access; it ends once the current short-lived token expires.
